SAVE THE LAST DANCE
ON THE CHIPPENDALE FRET SETTEE
FROM SMITH & WATSON
Smith & Watson, masters of fine English and continental antique reproduction furniture since 1907, introduce the 18 th century Chippendale Fret Settee (D-14-B). Fretwork settees graced the periphery of the Assembly Hall in Bath, England for 200 years. The originals were utilized to seat the ladies between dances or routs, as they were called at the time.
Featured here in antiqued mahogany, the Chippendale Fret Settee is also offered in other custom finishes. Available in single double or triple length, the settees shallow seat makes it an ideal solution for todays narrow halls and entrance foyers. It can also create the focal point in a room requiring something special for an ambience of old world refinement.
The Chippendale Fret Settee is one of more than three hundred seating selections from Smith & Watson.
