BEAUTIFUL BAGUES SCONCES
Agostino Antiques, one of New York’s preeminent antique houses, known for the finest examples of 18th and 19th century English and Continental antiques and antique reproductions has been selected to distribute the exclusive Bagues line of world famous lighting fixtures and wall sconces.
The Bagues Company, founded in 1840 in Paris by Noel Bagues, originally produced bronze fittings for churches. The advent of electricity in the nineteenth century moved the company toward the production of lighting. A reputation for the quality and style of its designs soon followed. Bagues lighting graced “La Chambre de la Reine” at Versailles, as well as the French Salon at Claridges Hotel in 1909 and the Dorchester hotel. Candelabra were commissioned for the Paris Ritz.
Featured are three exquisite crystal and iron wall sconces. The charming crystal bird and graceful leaf and vine decoration are motifs for which Bagues Company is world- renowned. Manufacturing facilities are located in Paris.
