A Dream Come True
Architectural Paneling, Inc., the design industrys leading source for traditional French and English hand carved paneling, mantels, moldings, and decorative carvings, has just completed this stately two-story library in New York. Designed in and old English Georgian style reminiscent of the era of aristocratic elegance, this grand dual-level room imbues an old-world ambience rarely found in todays interiors.
As a well-known, active patron of Carnegie Hall, the owner of this Westchester home has a distinguished family heritage in the arts and long dreamed of building a two-story, 18th-century English library to archive the thousands of rare antique books and antique records he has acquired.
The main goal was to create a feeling of true old-world charm and sophistication, which required a highly detailed installment from top to bottom. Well-versed in the arts and a man who knows the meaning of elegance and sophistication, our clients dream of building a library made this a welcome challenge. I am happy to hear that this truly inspired environment weve created was a dream come true for our client, said Anthony Lombardo, President of Architectural Paneling.
The entire project was crafted in a rich mahogany wood with careful attention to detail. All work was tailored to the clients specifications in keeping within historically accurate layout requirements, leaving one with the feeling of deep warmth and rich elegance. Additionally, a customized, hand carved family crest was ornately crafted by Architectural Paneling and fixed over the mantle.
Architectural Paneling, Inc., is located in the D&D building, 979 Third Avenue, New York City.
